After removing the Bryant gas furnace and Bryant air conditioner (see picture below), I installed a Carrier 96% 60,000 BTU Gas Furnace and a Carrier 13 SEER 2 Ton Air Conditioner. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I found the emergency heat wasn't working enough to defrost the heat pump unit. Upon inspection of the furnace, I found water damage to the heat kit, blower control board and other components. I talked with the customer about repair and replace options. Customer has opted to replace system. System is not operational upon departure.
Blasted water through the coupling port between the flue and inducer motor to clean out gunk Rinsed drain hose out and got a good amount of gunk out of it Blew water through trap and cleared a clogged drain line System now lights and runs Customer says this happens every year to where it has to get cleaned out
Service work performed:on arrival customer said it was heating intermittently and she thinks it’s her thermostat stat On inspection of the indoor unit tested flame sensor and sensor was reading 0 and also short cycled cleaned flame sensor reading went up to 2.4 and system cycled normally System is currently on and operational at time of departure
Inspection of system shows this to be a 3 zone system located zone Dampers and verified visually that they were working properly all dampers are operating as should decrease airflow is probably because all dampers are open at this moment During check system threw error code for open high limit checked filter and gas pressure filter was pretty dirty was 3 months old and gas pressure was a little high (3.76) adjusted gas pressure to 3.3 and removed filter Ran system for 15 minutes and system didn’t over heat during this time
