I arrived on site to perform an inspection of a Rheem air conditioning unit. During the inspection I found that the unit's compressor was filled with debris. I cleared out the debris and the unit was running at full functionality at the time of departure.
I completed a Full Install of a Carrier 96% Two-Stage 80,000 BTU Gas Furnace and Carrier 16 SEER 3.5 Ton Heat Pump. The system was fully operational upon departure.
I performed a diagnostic on a TRANE gas furnace. I found that the blower motor wasn't functioning properly and the capacitor had a loose wire. I secured the wire and cycled the system but the inducer motor was over amping. Due to the age of the system and the repair cost I recommended replacing the unit.
I installed a Carrier 13 SEER 2 Ton Air Conditioner and a Carrier 96% 40,000 BTU Gas Furnace. Everything is working properly at time of departure.
I found that the smell the customer is experiencing is from mold and mildew that was found on the evaporator coil. I gave customer a quote for pulling and cleaning the coil. I also recommend the iWave for neutralizing smells. All good at this time.
