Getting to Know Granville, OH
Located in Licking County, Ohio, the historic town of Granville’s population is an estimated 5,646 people. The Village of Granville is in a rural region with rolling hills in central Ohio; the village is about 35 miles east of Columbus, and seven miles west of Licking County’s seat, which is the City of Newark. On top of being the home of Denison University, Granville is rich with history both recent and ancient. Granville is the home to several historic buildings, including numerous Greek Revival structures, historic landmarks and the prehistoric Alligator Effigy Mound, which was constructed around a thousand years ago by the indigenous people of the Fort Ancient culture, hundreds of years before Europeans came to North America. Many historians suspect the mound might be an effigy of the Native American’s mythological underwater panther.
In addition to the historic mound, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the area is rich in sites left by the indigenous cultures of the region. A few miles from the revered Alligator Effigy Mound one can visit the awe-inspiring Newark Earthworks, which is linked to the even earlier Hopewell Indian culture of up to more than 2,000 years ago. Europeans did not settle Granville until around 1805 when it’s first large group of such settlers came from Granville, Mass., which is how the town got its name, in remembrance of those settlers’ former home.
In 1797, the land was first surveyed by the U.S. and established by government officials to be awarded in grants to veterans who fought in the Revolutionary War.

I completed the Tune-Up and Safety Check on the mini split unit. Upon arrival I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored system. Operating normally at the time of departure.
I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement heating tune up on a Armstrong furnace. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Cycled and monitored system. The system is operational at the time of departure.
Upon arrival customer stated that upstairs struggled to heat. I inspected furnace and found very dirty filter. Removed filter and confirmed that system is working within manufacture specifications. Explained to customer that lack of airflow was most likely caused by dirty filter and also flex duct that runs from basement to upstairs registers. Recommend replacing filter every 2-3 months Confirmed blower is at highest heat speed (med/high) Closed off damper to unused humidifier, and select bathrooms/ closets. Recommend turning fan on from thermostat And recommend using deflectors for 2 vents in master bedroom At this time I has done all that he can. If further work is needed, I recommends possibly looking into mini split System is heating properly upon departure
I completed scheduled maintenance agreement fall tune up on a bryant gas furnace Upon arrival went through tune up list and found that blower capacitor is slightly out of specs reading 6.9 out of 7.5. Explained all options with customer Customer would like to wait on repair at this time. I also found that system is heating properly at this but current High Efficient 1” filter is causing output temp to rise rise by about 5-6 degrees. I recommends using a standard 1” filter or updating filter rack to a 4” filter box At this time (other than capacitor) system is currently working within manufacture specifications System heating upon departure
